HAPPY BABY, RYAN!

After he is done eating, he always smiles at me (I would like to think that way lol) ...so cute!!
These are the pictures I took after I fed him on 1/26 and 1/27. :-)
He is growing and is becoming more interactive every day. I can't wait to see him growing healthy and happy...someday he will call me 'mama' or 'mommy'?? Just can't wait!! lol

RYAN'S TWO WEEKS FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT

Our Ryan had his two weeks follow-up appointment yesterday (01/23/09).
I was nervous about his weight since he was born so small and I am exclusively breastfeeding him at this moment. Well, he reached his birth weight in two weeks which meant he was doing great! Also, he got one inch taller!! Yay~~~~~~~~
I was very relieved and happy knowing he is growing well.
It's still challenging at night time but I am getting used to (pretty much) not sleeping between 1 and 4 A.M. since Ryan is a night owl!! lol Lance and I love him so much!!
My mother-in-law is with us right now to take care of us until my mom comes and she's been a great help to all of us. She cried a couple of times wishing Dad could see and hold Ryan and we all wish that too. I know Dad will be watching over Ryan and loving him so much from heaven.

RYAN HAS ARRIVED!

Our little prince, Ryan came to mom and dad little bit earlier.
Like us, I guess he couldn't wait any longer.
:-)
He was born at 9:36 A.M. on January 10th, 2009 after 34 hours labor. It was the most painful thing I ever had to go through, but it was the most rewarding and beautiful thing I've ever done in my life. When my midwife or nurse put Ryan on my chest right after birth, I couldn't describe the feeling...I felt in love with him right away and wanted to hold him and kiss him forever!!
Lance loves Ryan so much that he can't stop kissing him every day.
I am still in recovery and Lance's been
so great taking care of me and Ryan.
He is going back to work next Monday (after two weeks time off)
but I have lots of help from family.

I will update more stories and pictures once we get situated. :-)

GETTING SO CLOSE!!

I am at 37 weeks and 3 days today! Now Ryan is full term so he can make an appearance at any time now if he wants to! @.@ My mom is coming on January 19th, so we are hoping for later than 19th, but we will see! :) My mother-in-law bought us a set of a car seat and a stroller (travel system) when she came down so we got the car seat ready to go with some extra stuff Lance bought. lol

Lance washed Ryan's clothes and other items last Saturday
and organized them so well as you can see. ^0^
I cut my hair yesterday since I won't have time to dry my long hair once Ryan is born. lol It's little bit shorter than I wanted but I like it! ^^ I am planning on working as long as I can since Lance works close from my work and the hospital is 10 minutes away from my work as well, so it's better for me to be at work than home. ^^

BTW I would like to share good news with all of you!!

Lance got the position he applied for at Vancouver VA. No more state tax or long commute time for him since it's less than 10 minutes away from our house (which he is most excited about).
He will become a purchasing agent for VA hospitals. This position has lots of opportunities to grow depending on how well he performs his job and suits better for his personality and needs than the current position at Portland VA. I am so happy for him and for all of us. Another good thing about his new position is that he will be working in Vancouver meaning, when Ryan needs his daddy or mommy, Lance will be right there for him. :-) He will be starting his new position on February 2nd. We are very blessed and thank God for everything He does and plans for our lives.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As soon as the clock on TV hit 12 A.M. on New Year, we hugged each other and wished a happy new year.
We celebrated with apple-cranberry sparkling cider and fruits, and
Grace and Junior prayed for all of us before we drank and ate. :-)
After this, we decided to cook Korean rice cake soup (떡국) that we eat on New Year and ate it around 1 A.M. lol

Happy New Year!!

FAMILY TIME!

My sister-in-law's family and mother-in-law came down to spend a new year with us.
We didn't get to spend Christmas together since I couldn't travel any more and Lance couldn't go due to snow, so we exchanged our Christmas gifts today! This Christmas was the first Christmas for kids without their grandpa so we bought more gifts than we would usually buy for them. Grace finally got her Moon Sand she wanted for almost two years~!!! ^0^
It's good to be with family on the last day of this year,
and it will be nice to spend a new year together! :-)
We did decorate Ryan's room last night!
This was our dinner two days ago. Yummy! :-)

WHITE CHRISTMAS AND THE DAY AFTER...

It was a white Christmas ... I slept in and Lance woke me up with a tray of delicious breakfast (blueberry pancake, egg, grapefruit and pineapple&orange&banana juice). He asked me if I liked a white Christmas and I said yes! and then he opened the curtain and blind and it was snowing a lot outside! I ate the best breakfast ever as I enjoyed the view through the window. We stayed home and spent time together on Christmas.

Sarah @ 35 weeks and 5 days ^^
We haven't been out so long due to snow and finally got out today. We went to Clackamas Town Center in Oregon to see if they were having big sales. We didn't find anything special so we just ate at the food court and left. After Clackamas Town Center, we went to Michaels, ROSS, Burlington Coat Factory and Wal Mart. I bought some decoration stuff for Ryan's room at Michaels but that was pretty much all we bought today. lol

After shopping, we went to Sizzler for dinner. I wanted to eat Thai food but we couldn't find any Thai restaurant around the area we were at, so we just went to Sizzler. We loved their strawberry lemonade and salad but the food we ordered wasn't that great. Oh well~~
Now we are home resting. Today was a long day for me and Ryan (and probably for Lance too @.@) but it was nice to finally get out of the house! :-)
