HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year, I coordinated the WCC Halloween Potluck event with Tram's huge help. It turned out to be a great event!! So many people dressed up this year, which made the event more interesting and fun. I was a pregnant school girl! :-)

I just loved Patti's costume with a big fat butt!! lol

Of course, kids are the highlight of Halloween, right?

This Korean marinated beef ('Bul-Go-Ki) was what I brought to the potluck! Yummy! :-)

FISHING TRIP! 10/11-10/12

Last weekend, Jason, Kyu, Hee-Yon and James came down to go ocean fishing with us. They stayed Friday night at our house and we left home Saturday morning to go to Astoria. The weather was perfect. As soon as we got there, they bought baits and started fishing. Lance had a little incident which could have been a big accident if he didn't move fast enough. The huge wave came to where he was standing very fast and he got all soaked. Well, that didn't stop him from fishing though. lol

Everyone enjoyed fishing a lot. Jason and Kyu had to leave Saturday evening because Kyu had to go on a business trip the next day, but the rest of us stayed there one more night. We went fishing again on Sunday and had a lunch at the Mexican restaurant, which was very GOOD! I can't remember the name of the restaurant though...hmm...
Lance and I haven't gone anywhere since the Maui trip in May so this was a nice trip for all of us including Ryan. :-) We are planning on another trip in November with our neighbors, Derek and Dana and their kids, and possibly Jason, Kyu, Hee-Yon and James. Dana's parents have a beach house down there and we've been talking about going down together for a long time. Hopefully, that happens soon! ^0^

2008 HONDA PILOT!

We bought 2008 Honda Pilot!!! We sold my car last February since we only drove his car to commute together, and my car was just sitting on the drive way collecting insurance money. After we sold our car, we have been planning to buy SUV for our next car since we were going to have a baby soon. Since I got pregnant, we have been looking for the right car for our needs and after going to so many dealerships, we have found us a perfect car! It's Honda Pilot!! :-)
We are very happy with our choice and once Ryan is born, this car will be very good for family vacation and other purposes. Ryan, we have bought this car for you~~!! ^0^

MY BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

Now I am 23 weeks 4 days, and I definitely look pregnant! lol
I've been doing really well and feeling great. Lance is very involved with our unborn baby, Ryan and it makes me really happy to see how they are already connected. More I think about it every day, it's an amazing experience. Now I understand why people call it, "MIRACLE." That's exactly how I feel about this whole pregnancy process. Ryan is very active throughout the day and night, even when I am sleeping, Lance said. :-) He is so cute and I am already in deeply love with him, can you believe that?!! I tried to sing for him and read to him whenever I can.

It's already October and I have four more months to go. I had a 6-month follow up appointment yesterday and my midwife said she would give me an A+ for every check up she did on me.
My blood pressure, protein and sugar levels, weight and belly size were all great. Most of all, baby's heart beat was excellent! Yay! :-)
I am going to try to stay healthy for the rest of my pregnancy so I can give my baby the best start.
I am very happy and grateful for everything God has given to me~~~!! :-)
Lance went to Tacoma to take care of some stuff for mom, and Ryan and I miss him! T.T
He will be back on Sunday, and I will pick him up from the Amtrak station. :)

THIRTY THINGS THAT CHANGE WHEN YOU HAVE A BABY

I read this article from www.babycenter.com and I thought it was very funny and interesting. :-)
I just wanted to share with all of you! Enjoy!!

by Rebecca WoolfLast updated: November 2006

What changes when you have a baby? A better question may be: What doesn't change? Here, writer and mom Rebecca Woolf lists her most notable post-baby observations. Then scroll down to read our favorite comments from readers about how their babies changed their lives.

1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.
2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.
3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
4. You respect your body ... finally.
5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.
7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.
9. Your heart breaks much more easily.
10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
11. Every day is a surprise.
12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)
13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
14. You become a morning person.
15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.

IT'S A BOY!

As Lance's been telling everyone, we are having a boy! Lance knew it was a boy from the beginning and I was kind of between, but towards the end of last week, I had a feeling it was going to be a boy based on his movement. :-) His name is going to Ryan Lance Lee!! (이래원) The nurse said he was quite a mover and a kicker, and she had a hard time following him around but at the end he listened to his dad and gave her what she needed! Good boy! I am very happy that he is healthy, and the majory of our family members wanted a boy so I am kind of relieved too! :)
I love you, Ryan!!! See you in 4 months!!

IN REMEMBRANCE OF MY LOVING FATHER-IN-LAW...

My father-in-law (I called him 'Dad') passed away on August 19, 2008 at 10:13 AM at St. Clare hospital in Tacoma, WA. I still can't believe the fact that I won't be able to see him when I go up to Tacoma next time. This morning I was sad because today, we had a doctor's appointment to see whether we are having a boy or a girl and I wanted to tell him the news as well. He said it was a boy when he saw the images from the ultrasound at 12 weeks and we found out today that HE WAS RIGHT! It's going to be a little Lance Junior! :) His name is going to be Ryan Lance Lee!
I loved my father-in-law so much and I know he loved me very much too. When I first met him, I just came to U.S.A and didn't speak in English very well. He always made sure he spoke to me slowly and asked Lance to translate what he said to me when he didn't think I understood clearly. He also taught me how to prepare Thanksgiving meals. He was a great cook! I loved his lasagna, chicken dumpling and spaghetti. He loved his grandchildren dearly and he was loved by them too. As Lance said at the funeral, he was a selfless person. He always put others before himself and made sure everyone else was happy. He had a rough life and was physically in pain for a long time, but that didn't stop him from loving and caring about others. I already miss him so much. I will always remember him and love him until I meet him in heaven.
I love you, dad!
