RYAN'S FIRST CAR!

Ryan got his first car!! lol We went to BabiesRUs and got this walker for him today. They were having a 15% off sale on all items so we took an advantage of that and got us a good deal. He doesn't know what to do with it yet, but soon enough he will be flying on the floor. :-)
Now Ryan can sit up for a little bit by himself. Isn't he cute? hehe

BUSY MAMA!

Ryan finally started the solid foods (baby foods)! Yay!
His doctor recommended to start on it when he was four-month old, but I wanted to wait until he's at least six-month old. The reason was I heard that if you start the baby foods too early, there is a higher chance for a baby to get more food allergy as he grows up, so I wanted to wait and make sure he is ready for solid foods. Well, now he is almost seven-month old and he is ready!! I am feeding him home-made baby foods starting with rice soup and apple juice so far. He just loves them! He likes apple a lot I can tell.
lol

This is the site I use for recipe and other information and it's very resourceful!

I am still nursing him, and I am planning on breastfeeding him until he is one year old. Now it's more work for me to make him baby foods and nurse him at the same time, but it's all for my baby, Ryan, so I am more than happy to do the extra work for him.
He eats rice soup twice a day for lunch and dinner and eat apple juice between, as a snack. I bought avocado, pear, banana and squash so I am going to slowly introduce other fruits and vegetables as well.
As soon as he is done with solid foods I have to nurse him, so he eats both until he is ready for solid foods only (maybe when he is one-year old). He will be still breastfed during morning and night time, but it's so much more fun to see him eating something other than mama's milk. :-)
I can't believe he is now old enough to eat rice soup and other fruits and vegetables. My little prince is growing so fast! :-)

Yesterday, we went to Pho Von in Portland to meet my girls from Walsh. It was the first time for Ty and Emmy meeting Ryan, and they just loved him so much. :-)
I had fun with my ladies. Love you all!

RYAN'S SIX-MONTH CHECK UP!

90 percentile for weight (19 lbs 13 oz)!
90 percentile for height (28")!

He grew a lot for last two months for sure. :-)
He got three shots and one oral medicine today. Next appointment is when he is nine months old.
Today was the first time I took him to the hospital by myself, and I managed it pretty well. ^^
His pediatrician, Laurie was very surprised to see how well he was growing, and she told me we were doing a great job with him.
I was a proud mama today!
I love you, Ryan!!

HAPPY FAMILY!

Junior and Grace stayed at our house from 4th through 12th of July and went back home yesterday. Yesterday was my mother-in-law's 25th anniversary with my father-in-law who passed away last year. T.T Also, 16th is her birthday so Grace and I decorated our place to surprise her before they came last Saturday. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law stayed one night and left yesterday evening with Grace and Junior. T.T

Grace's 'Cheers' with Grandma!

I had a great time with Junior and Grace for a week, and now it's going to be just me and Ryan during day time. Lance and I had major clean-up last night since we had lots of visitors last couple of months including my mom and other family members.
Well, I am still tired from the clean up last night but will get better soon.
I love you, Grace and Junior! Hope you guys had a good time too! :-)

RYAN'S FIRST TRIP TO A SWIMMING POOL WITH JUNIOR AND GRACE!

Lance and I took Junior and Grace to Firstenburg swimming pool today. I was going to stay outside of the pool with Ryan but I took the swimming suits for me and Ryan just in case. Well, after talking to the lady at the front desk, we decided to take Ryan to the swimming pool for the first time! (BTW, Ryan became six months old today! Yay!! :-)
Ryan didn't get scared of water and actually, he enjoyed playing in the water more and more as time went. He was in the pool for 10-15 minutes with daddy and took a nap after eating. :-)

Junior and Grace had so much fun riding the slide, which is a 17-foot high and 130 feet long. It is supposed to be the longest water slide in Clark County. Lance and I rode it many times too and it was FUN!!
Our neighbor, Dana brought her kids, Kylie and Lexi too so we all played together in the water. Grace likes to play with Kylie, so she was happy that they came. After swimming, we went to eat with Derek & Dana's family and Lance took Junior fishing for the fourth time this week afterwards. We all had so much fun today! :-)
